  This is not my field, but a very recent experiment managed to revive (in terms of circulation and cellular activity) dead pig organs for a limited period of time. There are obvious serious ethical questions that arise from this finding, but a ground-breaking bit of research nonetheless! https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-02112-0
