  I have always enjoyed space, but found astrophysics (studying stars) to be a bit too computer and modelling heavy for what I wanted to do in a career. I also really enjoy being outdoors, so I found studying geology (rocks) was a good way to combine my interests: I can go out and find rocks on Earth that might be similar to rocks on other planets.
