Question: Do all of you mix chemicals and build stuff?

My work is very theoretical: I study computer simulations of what happens on the Sun, and try to understand the physical processes involved.

Like Jack, I work with computer programs and build simulations and analysis tools. We have a close relationship with the plasma physics group who very much do experimental physics though.

I don’t mix any chemicals but I design and build instrumentation for use in space or on planets.

I do neither! My job mostly evolves computational simulations of the physical processes on the Sun.
