  At university I studied geology with a specialty in planetary science. I took classes in chemistry, physics, maths, geology. I also took several other types of classes like Mandarin Chinese, Environmental Ethics, and Archaeology. As part of my degree I had to do field school, where you go out to learn about rocks, how to understand the context of a region, and how to make geologic maps.
